How Do I Renew/Update My VOLY Account for a School District?

If you are volunteering with a school district, all VOLY accounts must be updated each school year.

  • Log into the school district or agency VOLY web site where you registered at and enter your email and password.
  • A message in a red banner will appear stating, “You have not met all the requirements in order to volunteer”. Then you will see a display of what you have not completed (in red). Documentation in red are required to renew your account.
  • Complete/update application information by clicking on the gray Submit button to the right of Application.
  • If required, click the ORIENTATION. Check the box at the end for electronic signature and click Save.
  • If your school district completes their own Background Checks, next you will be directed to complete the needed information then submit (this window may take a few seconds to open).
  • You can check your background check status anytime by clicking on My Applications from your dashboard menu.

You will be able to sign up for volunteer opportunities in VOLY once your background check has been processed and approved. Approval usually takes up to 5 days (Note: background checks take up to 2 weeks pending on school district).
